NEW Pan-Ty™ PEEK Cable Ties - Excellent Tensile Rating in High Temperature and Harsh Chemical Environments – April 2007
09 April 2007, London, UK. PANDUIT introduces a high temperature and chemical resistant cable tie, ideal for applications where extreme temperatures -60º C to 260º C or harsh chemical environments are the norm. Pan-Ty™ Cable Ties are made from Polyetheretherketone (PEEK), a material that provides excellent resistance to most harsh organic and inorganic chemicals. This extremely chemical resistant material can endure most acids, bases, alcohols, esters, and hydrocarbons in high concentrations.
PEEK is also a halogen-free material that produces low smoke and low gas upon burn and has a UL94V-0 flammability rating. In addition,
PEEK cable ties are not hygroscopic and provide excellent performance in areas requiring cleaning with harsh chemicals and steam. This material also provides superior resistance to gamma radiation up to 1x109 Rads making PEEK an excellent candidate for use in or around equipment that gives off gamma radiation, or in aerospace applications where gamma radiation is a concern.PEEK cable ties provide excellent loop tensile strength in a lightweight material. The one-piece cable tie design provides consistent and predictable performance and reliability in the harshest of environments. For more information, request Product Bulletin SA-CTCB22. |
