Schneider: In Talks Over Turkmenistan Electricity Network Upgrade Deal

French electrical equipment maker Schneider Electric SA (SU.FR) is in talks with the municipality of Achgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, over a contract to upgrade the city's electricity network, a spokesman for the company said Friday.The spokesman declined to provide details of the value of the contract.
According to a report in French daily La Tribune published Friday, Schneider's contract is worth EUR1.3 billion.
