Dow Wire & Cable, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, will be participating in the IEEE PES Transmission & Distribution Conference and Exposition, April 19-22, 2010 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA. In addition to highlighting its previously announced enhanced TR-XLPE medium voltage system, Dow Wire & Cable also will use this venue to discuss its new family of bio-based plasticizer materials. These new compounds are phthalate- and lead-free, representing a renewable alternative for traditional PVC plasticizers that offers a safer, environmental-friendly option for building wire as well as wire for personal electronics, appliances and transportation applications.
